Coral Gables Police Ski Charities, Inc is planning to attend the 2010 North American Police Ski Championships in Snowmass, Colorado. This year’s event is scheduled for the week of March 20-27 2010. Police departments from around the globe have been competing in this annual event since 1989, and have allowed the North American Police Ski Championship to contribute over $631,000.00 for the Winter Sports Programs of the Special Olympics. This year the Coral Gables Police Ski Team is hoping to raise enough money to be able to send a large team of officers to compete for our department and help the Special Olympic Athletes. In 2008, CGPSC donated $10,001.00 to the North American Police Ski Championships earmarked for the Special Olympic Athletes. In March of 2009, the team made its largest donation to date of $11,000.00 to NAPSC, with the money earmarked again for Special Olympics.
